I see a trend that people who ride through winter generally don't ride 1000cc sport bikes

Ha! Great point!

Nope, I ride a big touring bike. Got to have someplace to put groceries on the way home. . .

I saw this bike last year, owner has two touring R1's and done over 100k miles on them

I work at an overhaul facility for aircraft engines so they're really picky about keeping everything super clean. Last time I rode through the rain I came in trailing water and road grime all through the shop. I got pulled into the office and was told to clock out and dry off . Then after about 30 mins of sitting there, still soaking wet they decided it would be best if I kept a spare uniform there in case that ever happened again.
