buying bike help

so i finally got lucky, i found the bike i want and its local 2011 sinnis apache. im going to take a look at it tomorrow. the guy said its been in storage for about 5 months so appart from the battery is there anything i should look out for?

I'm no mechanic and I've never even SEEN an apache, but if it's been sitting for a while make sure it's been stored properly. Tank full of gas? Did he drain the carbs? If not, there could be gunk in the tank and carbs, not to mention rust. If this is the case it's not a crazy big deal. You'll have to treat the tank and clean the carbs. But if you do have to do that you should get a discount. My .02

for the Sinnis Apache, look out one of Spicy 110's most recent vlogs (last week) he mentions it in detail and apparently, in his opinion, it's quite good

Ask him to run it, Jump it from another battery if needed, Just make sure it runs and sounds good, check for rust, the exhausts on those love to rust from behind and round the seals on it, Check the rear brake line, they are fitted weird and can leak, Check the tyres for any nails, screws, lumps, bumps, tears etc check al the fairing panels, give a bit of pressure and check they are not cracked (just a looking good thing) Check that the dials work, the units like the brake on those :] Thats all I can tell you, yes its a horrible mess of words :]

had a look, all looks ok, fuel smelt fine battery is too flat to start the bike but electrics work fine appart from 1 indicator wich could be the bulb, and then the mirror is cracked and the side panel is broke off lol, but not fussed about the cosmetics aslong as it runs fine and that indicator works, mite take it, the guy said hes gonna get it running for me, it was too icy to bump start it and he was a bit paranoid to bump it thinking it mite damage it, but going to take my final look tomorrow and decide if im taking it or not, i probly will if its running as it should be

yeah indeed that's why i'm going for a second view, waiting for him to make sure its running as it should if its not then ill have to find another lol should be ok as it seems its only the battery is too flat to start it but will make sure its in good order before i get it
