I cried a little today...! So i wqs minding my own buisness changing my oil on my ninja 500 . When all of a sudden i hand tightenthe drain plug then put a ratchet on her and.....snap! Broken plug in the threads. But thank god i got the broken part out , wont get the new plug till next week. Of course the shop had to order it!

That sucks man! always gotta be careful with the drain plug. Did it once on my car and it wasnt a good time.

I know but i was sooooo soooo carful cause lol i kknew the dangers ....and i barley tighted it. I guess it didnt help the plug was made out of white metal which is junnnk !:(

Had a similar painful experience on a second hand ninja, the guy messed the thread up and bodged it so long story short.. The fix started with PTFE tap went to replacing the bottom end casing.

look at the bright side you have an excuse to upgrade to a magnetic plug and buy a easy-out tool kit. (trust me its worth buying the tool) get a small to medium set at most auto parts stores. just make sure you buy the kit with drill bits.

Already have the easy outs lol i would be soooo lost without them, whingnut. O and lurch i thought every shop in pa would keep them in stock but out of the five shops ive called in a 30mile radius every single one has to order them!!! Bs if you ask me! Arrrrrggg lol
