Blue Tooth Headsets

so i want to buy a blue tooth headset but don't know what one i should buy there's so many out there and i don't want to spend to much what do you youse?

I got the Sony MBH20 for a mere $20. Unless you require specific features, basic ones (like mine) work perfect. I use mine daily, even inside the helmet

I just got the Sena SMH5FM the other day. Very nice little unit. Sound is decent and so is the comm quality. I paired with my buddy and his Interphone Fm5 or something and it worked really well.

I wear ear plugs all the time and I can still listen to music and hear the comms just fine. All be it at very high volume. At max volume the speakers do distort a bit so it have it just under maximum and can still hear fine.

Riding at around 150kph with heavy wind noise does drown some of the sound but its still enough to hear the music. Ear buds would be better but also far more uncomfortable.

Getting into twisty mountain roads we lost comms pretty quickly. The SMH5FM has a range of 700m but with the other rider being just 2 or 3 bends a head of me the comms cut off quickly. Bluetooth is pretty much line of sight so that explains the loss of comms in the twisties.

Normal highway riding we were in constant contact. Well worth the money id say.

I had the sena 5 which was spot on

Upgraded to the sena 20s and not found any difference, should have kept the 5

I've got a scala g9x. Brilliant. Can't fault it. Lasts for about 12-18 hrs on full charge running music etc from iPhone. Voice activated as well a button pushing. About £140ish for the single unit. Also like the fact you can butly just an additional helmet mounting (about £45) and move the main Bluetooth unit from hemet to helmet very easily. Handy for me as I use a few lids. Comes with speakers but you can connect in ear buds if you want to.

im just looking online duno what one im going to get still so so many of them out there and even the real cheap ones have good ratings

I have the sena smh10 and love it. I chose it because it was cheaper now that the newer 20 version was out and I'm glad I did because it has everything and I like the knob control on this one better as it's easier to control with gloves on.

I have a very loud exhaust (straight pipes) and can still hear phone calls and my wife can barely tell I'm on the bike. Music and navigation also work well through it.

I picked up the HBC100 Plus two weeks ago and am loving it. I can only imagine most brands are going to offer the same features at about the same price point. Winning feature for me was the boomless mic. There is no mic, as the mic is built in to the speakers. I have a Bell Qualifier that has ear pockets and I dropped them in and even at 60 mph, wife says I sounded clear on phone calls.

I just recently grabbed the Sena 20S and love it so far. The only issue I have is the thickness of the speakers. I'm using a S&S 1200 variant and there isn't a lot of spare room in it. So, the larger speakers in the 20S required some extra space to be made in the helmet. The sound quality and noise cancellation is amazing though.

I've really enjoyed being able to take phone calls while riding since my wife tends to worry. Plus, the phone pairing and GPS are nice when you're in an unfamiliar area. The FM radio works okay and is a nice bonus. I like the ambient sound feature as well, but I haven't found a great use for it aside from hearing others yelling at you with your helmet on.
