Bikejacked !! Does This Worry You ?

With Royal Jordanian recently targeted (however he was alert to what might be happening), plus lots of other cases over YT, does this scenario concern you?

We are very vulnerable to this situation, out in the open (not protected by a metal cage) with potentially thousands of £ / $ of Bike beneath our legs, often our pride and joy. A big target for fearless criminals !

.....after all, the streets aren't getting any safer !

Will leave you with this One I watched last night, ends with a twist ...

Some places are more prone to crime than others, but yes I do keep an eye open for something out of sorts.

Not too worried where I live, but I also carry....not getting my bike from me if I have anything to say about it.

Good points. Must admit I'm more looking out at other motorists (not riding into me), to be thinking about the possibility of a hostile encounter of this kind... as you say, more likely to happen in some places, than others. But must never rule out the possibility! ;)

I'd like to think I'd have an opportunity to open the throttle and force myself out of any hostile situation, ok it might turn messy, but at least I tried something (in my final moments on this earth)! :D

That is consistent with what I heard law enforcement say to do in a carjacking - use it as a defensive weapon.

I have insurance so if it ever happens they can take it. I do wonder if I could grab the key out quick enough if it should happen.

Grab it and swallow it or throw it as far as you can....wonder what they would do then lmao

Robber's Adrenalin will be pumping as hard as yours, when I get off the bike. ill discreetly hit the kill switch. Meanwhile, he needs to hold a clutch and press a start button. Which means he has to put his gun away..... At this point, you can A. Let him ride off into the sunset. B. YELL and attack! or C. exercise you right to carry and see how he likes it.

all the headbutts i can manage

but seriously though, I have insurance. take it and i get a new toy, plus maybe a video of it happening with bajillion amount of views

You have your priorities in order haha

I never want to be in another accident again in my life....but last serious one I ended up getting a bad ass car from it soooo.....

Not really, i dont worry about it being stolen or jacked or anything, but i will do my best so it wont happen, i.e, i lock it in a garage, i dont leave it long when out, and not much i can do about being jacked, although they would hav to have something to get me off the bike in the first place.

Hahahaha! Well it's certainly what they deserve... Plus upload the footage, and your YouTube Pension fund would be getting topped up nicely! :D ;)

Although motorcycle insurance is not mandated by law where I live, I do have it for many reasons. Theft is one.

I also try to be proactive by avoiding areas where my bike would be prone to vandalism or theft. For instance, when I am out and about, I always park where it is visible to the general public, etc.
