So http://www.tele-search.co.uk have contacted me asking for permission to use one of my videos.

They've not offered anything, but then again I don't motovlog for the money - I'm all for doing people favours.

First time I've been approached by a 3rd party, so I'd really appreciate any advice from the community.

What do you guys think?

Eeeeeeeeh. Doing people favours is one thing (your fellow vloggers for instance), but unless you know what specifically they're going to use it for . . . I'd be a no go.

Not that you need to benefit from every deal, but they should know there's no such thing as a free lunch. Maybe gets specifics and see what they're willing to do for you?

apparently, this is what they do, according to their website

Consultancy and Sales
Understanding cultural differences between two countries can often mean the difference between success and failure in an international business venture, and the television industry is no exception.

What programmes are attractive to Japanese buyers?
Which are the main broadcasters, and how are they structured?
What kind of production budgets do the broadcasters have?
Telesearch’s consultancy service can provide you with the answers to these questions and many more, injecting our 20 years experience into your own brand new venture.

Our unique overview of both the UK and the Japanese industry will add essential focus to your marketing campaign. Furthermore, by choosing Telesearch to manage your format and footage sales, you can make your products visible to a wide network of ready-made contacts.

As Miggs says, find out exactly what they want to use your video for. Will you get credit? Who is going to see your video and in what context? Are they making money on the back of your video? Probably. What percentage do you want?
