Bad Weather Riding

Where I live in the North of England it's quite windy today, taking my daughter to school I was being blown along and she nearly became a kite.

So I've elected to take my car today (not going far), done enough riding in high wind that it's not novel or educational any more.

So other than sheet ice, which kind of weather do you try not to ride in?
 
I've ridden in snow, on ice etc. I hate it now so don't bother.

The bikes pretty much packed up and staying as a pretty machine
 
If its raining in the morning before i go to work, I dont..

other than that...I just try to stay out of the hail storms. We luckily dont get snow here
 
Nothing stops me. I dont have a car and I really really hate buses and cant efford taxis! :p

In my 20s and 30s, I used to ride in everything. Snow, rain, ice, floods, zombies. Mostly it was because all I had was a bike and couldn't afford a car. I'm pretty much a fair weather rider now, unless I get caught in something. Car has made me into a wimp. There's something about riding around with heat and a defogger and music on the stereo vs. sliding around on ice with my nuts retreating back inside my body.
 
I used to ride all year round regardless of the weather, It got very interesting in icy conditions! started out on a Yamaha Virago 125, it wouldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding but still managed to fall off it a lot going around roundabouts in the icy weather. Started working for myself got a car and van so I try and avoid bad weather as much as I can now.
 
If it's near water freezing temps I won't ride. If it's raining before I leave home I won't ride. I just hate getting to where I'm gonna be for hours stuck in wet cloths. Maybe if I had somewhere to change I would...but I pretty much don't so nope. If I'm coming home though I could care less if it's raining...I can change right when I get in.
 
I don't mind riding in the cold or the rain, as long as it's a short ride and I have appropriate gear. Snow and ice are N/A for me. Hailstones are huge here in SA so riding in hail is not smart at all, although hail is kinda like the Spanish Inquisition...
 
As long as it's above 40 degrees, it's not raining and the roads are clear, I'll be out there.
