GHOSTNINJA

Lets do this!

Discussing the work of NICK BOSTROM on the simulation hypothesis. Some really crazy yet very interesting work that will make your mind melt. Well at least I though it was enjoyable so I had to share. Make sure to leave your comment below on your thoughts.

VR is great, spent many hours in it so far. The world you'll get is only as good as the devs can make it, meaning interaction won't happen unless they specifically make it so.

But get this, everything you see, smell, hear, touch and feel is all a 2nd hand interpretation in your brain, which is made before your consciousness is even registering it.
Its very much like how you are recording the vlog, the camera interprets what happens, saves it to a file, then you edit it and render it out, Another interpretation happens. Then youtube does even more interpretation.
There is even lag from your eyes seeing it till it's in your consciousness.

More on topic, I don't think we are in a simulation, but then I don't dwell on questions I can't answer that will only confuse and lead nowhere. If we were in a simulation, it doesn't matter on our scale.
I doubt some entity just went "oh snap, they found out that we are simulating their lives".
If its true, what are you going to do with that information. My guess is it would be pretty depressive. Look up cosmicism.

Ill take a look at that for sure. I just found it an interesting concept that would make people go hmmm lol. I remember reading something to the affect that the reason we do not see motion blur when looking left to right of vise versa is due to the fact that our brain, as you say renders it out first. Lot of interesting topics to choose from for sure.
