Are there no older creators on YouTube?

Seems like the YouTube creator series features people mostly white and mostly towards the 20 something to low 30 years range. I question if that is an accurate representation or can YouTube present a bit more diversity?

Now before you young riders go all "bah humbug, old man" - remember being immortal has no age limit. ;)

Ahh ty, have you found it helpful?

So far somewhat. Which is pretty good considering. Some of the tips don't apply to me for one reason or another but others can be useful.

What is interesting is how "bigger" creators regurgitate the same information and try to pass it off as something they alone figured out. Did you know as a creator engaging with your audience is a great way to build success? Did you also know that having a regular production schedule of two or more videos a week can help your channel grow?

How about the latest of working with T-spring to make shirts and linking that to your videos? (Does not apply to me due to change in fashion taste)

I often found the tips larger creators offered as above were pretty much common knowledge/sense but if you look at some of the fledgling channels, they don't even follow the basics of responding to comments.

Yeah, maybe instead of sub4sub there needs to be chit4chat. Some are good but most are ghosts.

I can understand big channels not having enough time but really smaller ones? I found the VidIQ gives a response score similar to how Facebook business pages do. That really helps gauge is a channel is worth even interacting with.

Just Googled it, looks like a Google extension which gives info on tags and stuff?

Yes. Very helpful indeed. It will pull tags on any YouTube video you have in the browser. So let's say someone is nailing it on a topic you are releasing a video for - look at the tags for ideas.

Back when I still monetized it would show me what a video was pulling in and the channel earnings range as well.

I'm 50, turning 51. Not sure that qualifies as old :) I certainly don't feel old, myself.

Viewers to my channel are mostly in the 40 to 45 yo bracket.

So why does YouTube consistently shove 20-30 year old creators up on screen in their newsfeed to other creators for all to see?

Are we (older than 35) creators not innovative? I mean, I am. I use a machine that not just one but two inventions called the "wheel".

Youtube moves in mysterious ways. Who knows? My money is on a "more dynamic and spirited" type of videos. Whatever that is. Maybe it's sheer numbers.

Older geezers like myself tend to be less tech savvy.

I suppose most older people think it’s a bit off or a waste of time. I know quite a few older motovloggers. There’s Hepcat
