So, what do you guys think about the point of...If you have 10k+ subs, you have a certain amount of responsibility for the people who look up to you , idolise you? You are famous in their eyes and they WILL copy the things you do.

So it's all very well saying, "I don't force them to ride like me", because indirectly you do with some people?

That's the thing you notice too isn't it? You get the kids coming on to your channel after getting if GTA5, saying "I can't wait to get my bike, I'm gonna be a great rider like you".

Also, has anyone actually been busted through their YT videos as yet? I worry about some stuff I may have done, albeit minor?

there is actually a dude that introduced him self a day or two ago by the name of "suicide" and the news showed the police raiding his house and taking his bike, computer and cameras cause he posted himself doing reckless stuff on the roads. so yeah people have been busted for posting things online.

I just figure most of them will wind up as a greasy spot on the highway or impaled into the back of a semi. At least that is a better ending than getting busted by the cops and the tax payers having to foot the bill for their incarceration. Then their mindless minions will be thankful that it wasn't them, until the cycle repeats.

Yep, lets ban hollywood. Movies are pretty popular and terrible influences. In fact, here in Australia, advertisements showing OR implying that a car is speeding are banned from all forms of media. The only car adverts we get now are cars clearly on a race track with disclaimers all over the screen explaining that it is an overseas model and was filmed on a closed circuit with professional drivers.

To me, this is all fucking ridiculous. The better solution is that parents should engage with their children and teach them about dangers in life. Parents that let television, movies, newspapers, magazines and youtube educate their children are fucking the world. I feel that my role as a parent is to teach my kids how to think, not how to follow rules. If they ever say "i want to be like him/her" then i have failed and the re-education must commence.

Entertainment does not need to be a role model.

If i posted my hard riding vids on youtube that XxxTrue guy would have a stuffy for years hahahaa.

I really hope you lose your licence before you lose your life. I don't wish harm on you, and it's only a matter of time before your "experience" clashes with someone who's not expecting a bike to come along a 30mph stretch doing a wheelie at speed. Or worse, a kid runs out in front of you. I'm sure you've thought about these hypotheticals, and it says a lot about you as a person that you put your own fun, and the money you make from youtube, before the life of others.

I used you as an example in my original post. I neither fabricated, nor exaggerated any of the facts I used in doing so. If you can't realise that, try watching your videos from a different point of view. This isn't a personal flame war between myself and you alone. I have a total and utter disdain for all riders like you. I merely used you as an example. If I remember correctly, and I do, you once accused me of thumbing down videos. So your butt-buddy there needn't jump to your defence accusing me of always starting things.

When the laws clamp down on motorcycle riders carrying cameras, and they will, we will all know the channels that are to blame.

Now you're trying to start things with gay people?

Why would they clamp down? It helps the authorities cause. Dont you get an insurance discount there in the UK?

People are stupid, some of us 'Think before we do something', but most just see someone do/buy something cause that other guy did, and they just HAVE TO do it too.
How else do any of you explain 'Justin Beaber', 'Planking' or 'FaceBook' popularity??

People will allways try'n out do the previous Gen, look at 'Schoolies'. In my day we'd run a muck round school, flour bombs, water fights etc. innocent stuff, then it was off school, now its interstate and even inter-national, and you 'Have to get Drunk,Stoned+KingHit by someone', otherwise you are just not the shit!!

In my opinion ANYBODY that puts a vid on YT doing a wheelie on a modern bike IS A PUSSY and A SOFT COCK, get out on a 30-40yr old bike and do one, maybe a Scooter/Postie bike(ct110)?, A bit fukn harder huh?

SO easy to do shit and to easy to get into shit with a modern bike. DONT start me on LAMBS(size to age restrictions) 600cc for a newby, no-wonder the police have great stats on motorcycle 'Hoons' in this country (mostly 18-26y/olds).
The avg 600cc will do 180kph+, and have plenty of torque for Wheelies/etc., and they give it to 'KIDS' to 'Learn' on?? WTF!!.

Yes i have contributed to that stastistic but on a 250cc!! (biggest bike u could ride in 1986 (1979 KwakaZ250A), the most speed i could get was 120kph(SCREAMING), wheelies were NEVER an option lol. NO YT in my day, BUT we still did our Hoonish shite. You never heard of it tho, cause it was only bad 'IF' MrPoliceman just happened to be driving bye. But we learned howto Crawl before we could RUN on Bikes.

And with all these people doing all this stuff, NOW the electronics era, Cameras+YT=INSTANT wanna-bee rockstars!! Until the fame+attention catches up and like GhostRider etc. they pay their dues afterwards.
So go film it, but just watch whos watchin YOU!! and dont have a Cry to Mommy/blame it on something/someone else, when you crash/get caught, BE A MAN!!

Their will ALLWAYS be a 'Next person' to do more, go higher, be MORE dangerous than the guy before, BUT just remember, YOU are the CopyCat? If its genuinely original GREAT, i LOVE originality, learn that Craft, I just Fukn HATE people who just do the same old shite that someone else did b4, JUST to get the 'Spotlight' on em.
"Oh Look someone else doin a Wheelie on YT" (YAWN!!)

My favourite vids are on your last trip/road you went on, stuff u bought, Opinion you have on..., Blue tongue lizard you found (ScooterHoonLoL) Etc.
Be ORIGINAL, not just another YT wanna-Bee with 2Gazillion subs overnight, that'll NEVER pay the hospital bills for your CopyCat antics.
If you are the kinda person that 'Asks' your subs for money, maybe you should just buy a wagon and go sell your 'Snake-Oil' elsewhere?? Or just become a Politician? cause their just as Open handed as a begger. (a Begger is content with what he/she has)

Whoever commented earlier that 'Police will crack-down on us 'motorcyclists' for the YT stuff, DONT PANIC, they can take my taxes, but theyll NEVER TAKE MY FREEDOM!! (movie Braveheart) Itll never happen, too many 'normal riders' out their for it to be stopped.
But i think Police will STILL Find+Fine some 'Examples' out their, to 'Curb' the ideas of the majority of society.

So evry Generation, every age, has its Hoons+Hooligans it Rioters and Fascists, its Entertainers of mankind, all those copy-cats that are just doing stuff thats been done b4, BUT in their own special way/style/flair. Going for their '15min of Fame'. EVERYBODY wants to be 'remembered like James Dean'. And Social Media today is making it EVERYbodies business, cause its in everybodies Face.

Its NEVER an excuse for an individual, for NOT thinking about His/Her actions. You do have a brain yes?? Then you CAN think it through till its end/conclusion!! You still wanna do it?? You wanna film it?Put it on YT? Now isnt that just YOU craving your 15min??
Me, Yes.
So...Be mind-full of the impressional 'Child-like' audience you have, atleast have WARNINGS etc., if the 'Dumb-Ass' attention seekers wanna still do a 'wheelie & crash', go right ahead.
More Road for me to play on, wenu Fukitup & Givitup!! Just dont involve me in it.

Id LOVE TO find the fukrs who thought it was fun to pass me on my Inside, ona series of tight left+right corners, at high speed, i saw the cameras (IDK who, havnt seen footage on YT yet) but if it was dedicated YT footage?
Watch what happens when i do catch-up and pull you over, Next Time, to 'Talk to you' FUKN RESPECT for fellow riders OK!!!!
(Dont panic, no-one from here :D )

I think i might be getn a bit 'Grumpy' in my old-age?
Thats my 'Mouthfull', I might go and yell at some kids on the street. Bye.

Well, I thought I'd give my 2 cents worth on the topic as a VERY young rider, currently, I'm 16 and I plan on getting my UK license to ride a 125 next year.

Personally, I started my in-road into the motovlogging community with what I would call 'the local lads', meaning us motovloggers from the UK, starting with Premises187, I watched his videos, he doesn't do too much if anything at all, in the way of riding like an idiot although he does get angry pretty quickly :P After watching him and the Baron and spreading my subscriptions to people further a field, I came across scenes such as the 'Ride of the Century' videos, which, almost exclusively, were of people pulling wheelies and stunts, evading police and generally doing stuff that would earn them, if they were here in the UK, a more than lengthy stay at her majesty's pleasure, however, having watched those videos as an impressionable quote un-quote 'child', would I go out on the road and 'dick about' like some motovloggers do, pulling wheelies in towns, breaking laws and wreaking general havoc across the world? No, not only because the thought of putting myself at risk like that scares the absolute SHIT out of me, I'm not saying I would never speed, as I know I will, it's avoidable, but I find it excusable, given the right time and place, (ie. a country road with little traffic) but doing things like riding through city centres at 3 and a half times the speed of sound, or absolutely leathering it at the very limit of my abilities around a corner with a school crossing on it, is something I find utterly moronic, there's a word that most of us have for people who do things like that, and that word is 'thick'. The common consensus is that you must be completely and utterly stupid, to act like some do on the road, let alone record it and put such shameful acts up on YouTube, for all to see, however some do anyway and I am well aware that they have an affect on the more impressionable of my generation. As I said before, speed itself scares the absolute shit out of me, as, even at this point in my life I have WAY too much to lose in killing myself on the road, if I were to commit a criminal offence on the road my career prospects would be shattered and life, frankly, wouldn't be worth living, as I'd never be able to reach my potential and would be confined to the gutter for the rest of what would be a decidedly miserable and pathetic life, that would be in the case that I would still have my life It simply isn't worth it. Sure enough, I'm prone to an absolute love of speed itself, I race whenever I can, but only ever on a track, and I do, often, show off my quote un-quote 'skill' behind the wheel to my friends, but this has only ever been whilst in a go-kart on a track, or in a video game, two worlds that I find very separate from the road. I want to be a doctor if I get the chance, an occupation that requires absolute professionality, at home, and in the workplace, it is also a well paid profession, not something that I would like to give away as a result of riding like a complete philistine on the road because it's 'cool'.

Of course, some may be thinking that the second I get on a bike that I'll change my tone, but I'll say this, when I was even given my first chance to drive a go-kart, I noticed that everyone out there on track was pushing it to the absolute limit, crashing quite violently, something that all of us, including me, are afraid of, but the rush of it all and the heat of competition made them reach that point. I can honestly say, however, that I have never crashed a vehicle on-track, in what is a completely safe environment in comparison to the road. What I'm saying here is, it's a very real case of knowing your limits on the road and where you can reach them, not a case of who you watch on YouTube within regards to how you drive on the road. I have friends who ride mopeds as they are also, still 16, one of them has derestricted his, for the sake of 10 mph. I have told him, that if he is ever caught by the police doing anything over 30 (and they are savvy to this despite popular opinion amongst 'virgin riders') he will have it taken off him, crushed, he will be charged with obtaining insurance under false credentials, driving without a license (as it is no longer classed as a moped) and driving without valid insurance, and despite this, he genuinely does not give two shits, he continues to do it, in a hoodie and nylon trousers (how stereotypical ;) ) This is something that I do not understand at all. My other friend, although he has valid insurance and wears the appropriate kit, rides like an absolute arse, pulling stoppies in front of other vehicles and riding on footpaths! You'd not be particularly surprised to know that neither of them watch morons and their antics on YouTube and neither motovlog, so I say, although lawless motovloggers can influence, they cannot change riders on their own. One motovlogger I watch in particular, JorianS4E, crashes his bike all of the time, he's young, he drifts his bike and stunts it in every one of his videos, but you know what the difference is between him and the select few people who ride like absolute morons? He does it on an enclosed airfield, with friends and safety on standby, that way, if he does drop it, he can always get back up, those on the road, may not be so lucky and neither may the people that they crash into.

Bloody hell, I haven't written so much since.... well, I've never written that much :P But that's my 2 cents worth and if you've read it all, I have a cookie just for you ;)

Ride safe guys, please. AndyB365.

Good post Andy :)

.. More paragraphs in the big bits though please ;) 8-)

Oh and I vote Drobium as leading candidate for controversial topic of the month!! :D

I didn't do very well in English, purely because I didn't put paragraphs in :P Would've thought I'd have learned by now, but, well, I didn't like my English teacher very much xD

Not been busted myself, but had a load of crap from another forum a few months ago about my 'Biker Vs The World' clip compilations. They (bikers themselves) openly said they had reported my videos to the Police.

It shits you up a bit.

But, almost everything I post online is defensible, clearly an error in judgement that I'm holding my hands up to, or it's deniable.

One thing I did learn from all that is that some peoples perception of your riding - even if they're bikers themselves - can be a bit of an eye-opener. And that's not always a bad thing.

I've thought about this subject for a while, but I never realised it would be this controversial lol.

I have lots of other topics that could rock the boat too, but I'll leave those for another day

Thanks for all your replies and opinions, I'd love your subs too, but I'm not gonna ask for that as it might seem a little desperate :D
