Funny April Fools Day video (Whoops was it too convincing?)

So on Friday April 1st, which is of course April Fools Day, I posted this video:

Where I pretended to have sold my Goldwing, give up riding, and would now be making videos from the seat of my Tesla Model Y instead. At the end of the video I revealed the joke and how I wasn't serious at all, still owned the Goldwing, and would continue to make motorcycle videos as usual.

HOWEVER, I've been amazed at how many people thought I was serious!!! Within an hour of posting the video I had two texts from friends asking why I sold the Wing, a few Instagram messages asking the same, and several comments on my video from people who couldn't believe it. I've even lost 23 subscribers since Friday!!!! I even changed the thumbnail this morning to include text that it is indeed an April Fools Day video, the original thumb simply showed a B&W pic of my bike and said "Sold my Goldwing".

Guess I was too convincing, LOL!!!!

True, I mean I already knew that from my analytics page, but I really thought uploading such a vid on April 1st would be very transparent. Guess I was wrong!

Ouch, that SUCKS man! I know I got some angry comments when I did a vid where the intro was someone stealing my bike ... but I too thought it was clear enough it was ME on the bike. I didn't have too many subs, so I don't think I lost any, but I too, quickly changed the TN & title to reflect it was all a ruse.

I pulled a ChopperFett and scrolled down to the comments to see if it was true - Trust No One on 4/1!

Trouble with an April Fools video on YT is that a lot of people don't watch them straight away, or are in a different time zone, and with the rule for April Fools being before midday, a lot will not see the video in that window of time.
.... and also, way too many people don't watch the whole video, especially if car vids are not their thing.
