An American Living In Germany

Hello Ladies & Gents

My brother spun up the idea of motovlogging because I live in Europe. He says why not actually start because I see beautiful places that normally people do not see back in the states.

and...I am now here starting my adventure.

I currently live in Kaiserslautern, Germany. I've been here for about two years and going on my third. I only have a year left here before the military ships me elsewhere. Germany has treated me very well and looking forward to coming back in the future. Looking forward to meeting other fellow riders as well!

My current setup:
Helmet: EXO R710
Camera: Xiaomi Yi & Xiaomi Yi 4k
Mic: Using a SENA 20S & Apples Voice Memo
Gear: Dainese suit, jacket, gloves and sidi boots
Bike: 2012 BMW S1000RR (currently the only fire blue in Kaiserslautern. I have yet to see another of the same color)

The only problem I have at the moment is the mic is works great with Apples Voice Memo app but my camera also picks up my voice. The camera is mounted on the chin of my helmet, does anyone know how to address this problem? Sena 20S does such a great job of noise canceling that I barely hear my bike. I need actual audio from natural sources.

Welcome!

That's a rather interesting problem. Assuming its very noticeable even if the audio is synced up well. Maybe taping up any rear-facing microphones in the camera would do?
If you have two cameras running you can mute one and extract the sound of the other.

Welcome to the site! Funny enough when you move my company may end up moving your belongings haha I work for a company that moves military members household items when they get new orders.

As for your mic problem the best solution would be to see if the company who makes your camera makes a mic adapter that you can just run your audio through the camera instead of through your phone. If not then I would just mute your audio on that track and just grab the audio going into your phone. That would be the simple solution.

I hope your company does a great job when shipping my motorcycle! Hue hue :)
Grabbing audio from my phone is via Bluetooth connected to sena 20s. That mic on that is insanely good at noise cancelation. Im listening to the audio and i only hear myself and at times the revs of my bike.

The ring is amazing but ive yet to ride my bike on it. Ive never done a track day and i don't think i should start on the ring for my 1st day. lol

The ring is actually a great place to start. Its a LONG track (13 mi), lots of places to learn and push slowly especially on a bike. You can also just show and go, no need for reserved track days. Time of year is more critical due to moisture!

Another english vlogger in Germany? Looks like I've got competition... :P
How long have you been vlogging? I've got mic problems too, seems to be a newbie thing lol
