Wow... I must admit shocking and horrible but the first thing i thought was ... Them buses can change direction pretty damn quick :/ ... does that make me a bad person... ?

That cyclist could easily have been killed, very very stupid thing for the driver to do...

jeezy chreezy!

sure the cyclist was being a dick trying to block the bus, but that was essentially attempted murder. not an appropriate response by any measure. when he gets out of jail, he shouldnt be allowed to breed.

Both at fault, both at fault for different things yes.... but both at fault. Cyclist was antagonizing the bus driver (or off in a dreamland somewhere else and not paying any attention) and the bus driver was raging pretty hard. The fact is that the bus driver had every right to be angry... on a 30 kmh road you'd expect any vehicle which wants the right to use a full lane to at least adhere to the same rules as all of the other vehicles.

If cyclists demand equal rights then they shouldn't get pissy when this happens. I'd be just as pissed if a car was doing 7 kph in front of me swerving across a couple lanes of traffic... no reason to bring out the anti-bike controversy when the cyclists aren't even doing 1/3 the speed limit.

That all being said I think the bus driver's anger was fine, but his reaction to it was out of line. I'm glad he was the better man in the situation and pulled over and admitted his fault.

I'm with Dodge, 100%.

Practically the exact same thing happened to me back in October...only I was in my own lane with no one infront of or behind me. Trucker decided he didn't like me and took a swerve at me. DAMN I wish I had the camera on for that one.

I saw spend a quarter on a 55 grain piece of lead and introduce it to that bus drivers brain stem.

Cyclist could have been turning right. I'd regularly take the lane when negotiating turns.

Doesn't mean I deserve to be flattened by a bus just because I'm slowly approaching a red light in order not to put my feet down.
