Great review. Surprised on the maintenance schedule.

Thanks, I wasn't extremely surprised personally, its something you kinda expect with KTM dirt bikes that when someone tells you the intervals, it's like "I knew it"

I've had several KTM offroaders, and you kind of get used to servicing them, my little 200 2T EXC I'd drop the gearbox oil every 2 big rides and the 250 4T EXC probs oil change once a month if used regularly. I think this is why folk think they are unreliable... it is because they expect to be able to service them like normal road bikes but they are race bikes and need a bit more love and care.

Yea, exactly, they are race bikes and should be treated as such.
