2014 Kawasaki Ninja 300 From The Dealer

Heyo everyone, long time, no real post action.
I've been pricing out a ninja 300 at a local Kawi dealer called Team PowerSports in NC.
They gave me 3 options:

2014 for $5228.19
2015 for $5331.19
2016 for 5562.94

All bikes are in TPS's "trade up" program which allows the owner to trade in their bike and pay a difference price to work up to a larger or different bike. The dealer however also goes through and inspects and replaces any needed parts such as tires if needed before putting back up for sale.

The 2014 started at $5600.00 but I said I was looking to go for more around $4k out the door price. Even used, this seems odd as the ninja 300 2015 sells for similar to less than that MSRP...

So now comes my question,
What realistic price should I be getting that 2014 for?
I don't see much benefit to go for the 15 or 16 as the 2014 is that bright green I think pops on the road for visibility and has similar features to the others. I think I can really get the price lower at this time of year, more so since the 2014 has been listed on craigslist via this seller for about a month without any buys.

Thanks for any an app input!

I think the odds are in your favor on the 14 for sure. Over 5k seems a little steep to me still. I'd offer 4400-4500 and see what they say. If it sat for as long as you said they might sell it knowing that this is the only bite they've had on it for a while.

All they can say is no ;)

yeah, I put the stats into KBB and it's returning a suggested $4k from the dealer price so I may try to get them down to $4,500 plus a Scorpio i900 alarm included being my new apartment isn't in the best of areas... nor any place to lock a chain around...

So they called me back today quoting $5,022 out the door with tax/title was the "lowest we can go", funny as they said that at $5228 lol
Will probably stick with that deal, not too bad of a price although I'll need to install my own alarm which is $300 for the i900 new

yeah I tossed them $4,700, they came back with that... trying to get them down lower still, giving them time to think.

Score! Just got a call back from them, sales manager said they can't get the 2014 down that low but they got me the 2015 at $4,700 with 922 miles on it due to it being the end of the month.

Going to fill out paperwork today after work and will uber down there Saturday to ride it back home.
