I have scoured Flea Bay and Amazon but cant really find one.

I have a TCL SVC200 which has a 2.5mm mic jack on the back.

Anyone got any ideas? the cheaper teh better at the moment until i get paid i can buy a better one. Just need one for when i pick my bike up.

Best get Googlin' then :)

Or off to Maplin and get soldering.

Saying that, sure someone on here recommended a Maplin mic that was buttons. They may well sell 2.5mm adaptors as they're used on some PMR radios, and Maplin sell them.

I took an old computer headset used for Skype, and ripped the microphone out of it. Using limited resources, I stuffed it inside my helmet and plug it directly into my camera. I think it works well and cost almost nothing.

Glad I could help.

I'm a newb on this community. Eventually I will post a link to my first vid and you can let me know if the audio works.

i have a contour + withexternalic input and it usesa 2.5mm mic in mono so iwenton eba ntymed in ono 2.5mm mic orderd the first one that popped up £8.00 and wors like dream. evenon windy days.

The old cellphone headsets were 2.5mm as well, most had mic's on them.

This is what Radio Shack was good for, random adapters e/t/c. You would pay extra but it was worth the convenience

Yep, no more small store electronics places. I can't think of any place I can go now to get random stuff like audio adapters, capacitors, random odd cables e/t/c...

i phoned maplin the other day for one for my contour+ 2.5mm mono and they diddn't have one. I ordered one off ebay and it works perfectly, you can have different lengths 2m to like 10m i got the 2 meters one and fed it through my helmet. The best way to describe it is like the mics they have on tv that clip to there cloths. :)
