General Getting My Large Motorcycle License

Quite substantial differences to these test requirements, from one country to the next.

General Getting My Large Motorcycle License

You hold open just a little throttle, so just a little gas (enough to prevent a stall), then feather the clutch at its biting point to maintain a suitable speed around the cones. Use only your rear brake should you begin to creep too fast... ALWAYS be looking at where you want to be going, up...

    Serious Ktm Crash!

Like the 'slide it through the dirt on its side' before lifting it up. As if a few more scrapes will matter, on a downed bike. :) Shame we didn't see any footage of the incident, to watch how it happened? Best bit... to see the guy riding off at the end. Minimal damage to bike OR rider. ;)

General Mt-03 And Grom Stunt Riding

Looked alot of fun, plus a fair amount of falling off going on as well. :D

Halloween Staged Bike Wreck , Need Ideas !

Yeah, the clown mask would do it! Has become somewhat of an offensive image, following the number of people (copy cat) walking around the streets wearing clown masks, plus with a baseball bat or even knife in hand.... In the media recently, we had a loon here wearing a clown mask while...

    Ay Gurl

Welcome! So what is this 'dirty piece' you talk of - What bike is it? ...prepare me, prior to tuning in to some of the Vids. :)

Halloween Staged Bike Wreck , Need Ideas !

Ingenious. ;) Shame about the blown engine though. Looks a decent bike, fun to ride?. What size is/was it (125)?

Halloween Staged Bike Wreck , Need Ideas !

To get the skeleton to that location, for that shot, did it ride pillion (strapped to you)? :D Would be a fun spectacle to see - original too! Gives me a a great idea for the upcoming Halloween ;)

Halloween Staged Bike Wreck , Need Ideas !

I'd prefer NOT to spectate a bike wreck, real or staged. :( .......glad to hear the event was a success tho! :D

    125 Cc

Will you sell your 125, using the funds towards a bigger bike? What do you currently use your 125 for? I ride a 600cc Supersport, which I use for basically everything. Riding at the weekend/evening, plus have been used it to "commute" to work too. However, I've recently been thinking about...

So... Like... Front Brake Or Rear Brake?

Coolio! Suppose as long as you aren't engine braking while going down through the gears and suddenly hitting 9 - 10K revs, its fairly safe... I tend to be in a low gear while filtering, so I have faster acceleration, should I need to get out of a sticky situation quickly (anyone cutting lanes...

    Backtrack For Instructional Video

Perhaps mash it up with a bit of Spanish too! :D Or a combination, Esspanish ? (surely that's never been tried before in a motovlog!) ;)

    Thoughts On Plasti-dip

Just like with the vinyl wrapping, its adhesion is only going to be as good as the quality of the painted surface it's applied to. Also blemishes such as chips, tend to show on the surface of the vinyl also... Vinyl wrapping they only rub the surfaces over, to completely clean, remove surface...

So... Like... Front Brake Or Rear Brake?

^ Great Post! Can engine braking generate detrimental wear and tear on the engine? I know it's used extensively, both on bikes plus in cars.

Anyone Jacked Up Their (sports) Bike? Rate It Or Hate It.

Yeah looks relatively straightforward, from the video, but I imagine the bike needs to be supported from the front too, so it cant move / roll / topple over. Also he has more access from beneath the bike it appears. Having workshop facilities probably makes a big difference, reducing alot of...

Anyone Jacked Up Their (sports) Bike? Rate It Or Hate It.

Pictures (or video) represent a 1000 words. ;) Cheers. I probably wouldn't have "got it", if it wasn't for that vid. All looks so simple. :) Plus I note there he did that without removing the rear wheel !?

    Thoughts On Plasti-dip

Ahh I see. Yes, suppose for permanent spraying, there's a lot more prep work involved. However with this application its just a wipe over to ensure surfaces are clean, then get spraying! :D Plus simple to return the parts back to the original yellow, should you wish. The finish is brilliant...

Should You Start On A 600cc? Wrong Question

So there's members posting from a handful of NON-American countries already, stating their experiences. However you pickup on my Post and correct me to the fact this is a discussion on "American" experiences? Even though you responded positively to these other recipients (outside of the...

Should You Start On A 600cc? Wrong Question

I've jumped on a 600cc ZX6R Supersport, straight after passing my full bike license. ....but its fine, its an older ZX6R, its performance has probably degraded on par with a 125cc anyway! :D

    Forum "skins" / Colour Schemes...

Cheers for a response Dan. :) ....so it sounds like my idea wasn't so crazy after all - was once a feature. That Chrome Plugin looks clever. Unfortunately isn't going to help me here (accessing from work)... We use IE, plus 2) the machines are locked down extensively, so no download/plugin is...

    Thoughts On Plasti-dip

@SighBored , that looks brilliant !! There's still the Black detailing towards the rear of the bike, so the now Matt front, Yellow fairing/tank, and Black at the back, all look great together! Do you wish you had performed the same project only with a PERMANENT Matt Black spray instead...

    Thoughts On Plasti-dip

Yeah, perhaps more technical to apply, but you'd get a good 5 years with it looking decent. Probably longer. Plus there are vinyl colours (finishes) that are just not possible with regular spray paints. I had some panels on my last car professionally wrapped in 3M Matt textured carbon fiber...

Dji Fires Back With A New Small Drone

Thought it was a Karma - but if you do end up with a "Karama", I would really like to see that !!? :D DJI have been in the Drone scene for years, GoPro on the other hand, only make decent action Cams! ;)

    Forum "skins" / Colour Schemes...

Hello superior mortals (forum Admins) :D ... Is there a Setting / option, as a User, to change the colour scheme of the forum background, so instead of being predominantly Black, change it to say, White or even a light Blue? Why? This way the web browser (with motovlog.com open) will blend in...

Anyone Jacked Up Their (sports) Bike? Rate It Or Hate It.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I am tall. 6'3". I also understand this "Mod" will make the bike corner better, more responsive. That can only be a good thing??... what I don't want is this creating too much forward weight, with the potential to lift the rear wheel under heavy (front) braking...

Dji Fires Back With A New Small Drone

So true. Infact I cant afford to buy one! Not with a young family to provide for. Priorities. So I should change me job, to one where I NEED a Quad for work purposes (as some of you guys use here). The new DJI MAVIC looks the business... But HOW MUCH!!!! All my Drones I've built...

Dji Fires Back With A New Small Drone

Yeah, Drones pretty much fly themselves. So somebody coming in to the scene, picks up a DJI or similar Spec Drone, they'd look a Pro from Day 1. :D Sounds like you've got some great skills there, the conventional Heli's take alot of time to master! So much more to take into consideration...

Dji Fires Back With A New Small Drone

I'd add, preferably from one of the well known brands, and not a random Chinese "toy" that proves to be almost impossible to fly. You don't want your first experience to be your last (due to a bad experience). ;) Also, all obstacles such as trees, walls, buildings, can generate rotor wash...
