Sena Gp10-01 Bluetooth + Scala G9 For Dual Vlogging?

Hey guys,

I've been searching all morning for info on this and I'm pretty sure this will work. Sena's product website for the GP10-01 Bluetooth backpack definitely says that it is compatible with non-Sena products (such as the Scala G9..)


So; Has anybody tried this before? A Scala G9 paired via bluetooth to a Sena GP10-01 backpack on the GoPro Hero 3? Are you able to record & hear your own voice, and the voice of other people you're communicating with on the Scala (Via intercom etc.)???

Good question but I kinda doubt it. The gp10 can use intercom or HFP bluetooth pairing modes. Neither Cardo or Sena support group intercom with HFP (that I know of). Binding the GP10 to any Cardo unit will happen on the HFP setting. Intercom calls happen on the intercom profile. Worth asking Sena customer service though.

As an update to this..

I contacted SENA and they confirmed and advised that it is not compatible with the Scala and intercom for 2+ people.. it only records one voice.
Also doesn't record in "HD" for some weird reason.. only the Sena + Sena allows you to record in HD for some reason.

I am still trying to figure out why my Sena + Sena wont record in UHD as shown in a few of the how-to videos I have watched. Maybe it is a firmware update I need to do on the GP10?
