Route 66 & the Ozarks 2014

As far as I know, Eagle Rider only rents H-D's. Sometimes they don't look like they are still in business, it's in an old used car lot shack. I'm a little confused why you have a Suzuki and are thinking about renting a Harley. :?:

From what I can tell they tend to operate out of HD dealers. I know there's a handful of locations, we were looking at renting something from them for Liz in May.

Hey All,
I will probably be attending the Ozarks 2014 meet up next year. By that time, I should have a motorcycle. Does anyone know when the date will be on the meet up? I am right now in a "holding pattern" when it comes to getting a motorcycle, especially a Harley right now until September. My credit score is not that very good, and so I am working on repairing it in the meantime. This will probably mean no motovlogging on a motorcycle until then for me on my channel on youtube, but I will post some other videos as well in the meantime. I am hoping that I will have a Harley by sometime after my birthday on the 10th, or sometime after. I am wanting to try and get it before Bikes, Blues, and BBQ in Fayetteville starts on Sept. 18th thru the 21st on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, but if not, it will probably be sometime after. I will probably even motovlog in the rain on some of my videos because the weather in Arkansas varies in the fall, and winter months.

I am going to be starting the job that I have been working at since March of this year at the VA (Veteran's Administration) Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a Housekeeping Aide, but instead of only getting 32 hours a week, I will be going full time with 40 hours a week from 3:30pm to Midnight Monday thru Friday, with the weekends off. I will be getting more money for going full time, plus some extra as I think an added incentive for working a night shift. This will help me out a lot in not only repairing my credit, but also helping me to pay for the Harley that I will get in both bi-weekly payments to a federal credit union, and maintenance when needed. In the meantime, I am now driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero back and forth to work. I am hoping I can get a new or used Softail, or the 2000 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider if it is available at that time from the Harley dealer in Rogers, otherwise, it will probably be either a different Harley, like either a new or used Fat Boy, Switchback, or something else. I will post it as my ride when I finally get it on here.

Ozarks Meetup is typically the weekend before Memorial Day, in May. I think that answered your question.

LOL, That is a closely guarded secret, along with why I can never understand the female species mindset when it comes to dating. LOL Thanks for the information.

Depending on where you want to pick it up, you can rent almost any bike from http://www.eaglerider.com/

If I'm available I'm up for doing some of Rt 66 with you. At least the New Mexico part, maybe even some of Texas or Arizona if I can get a Kitchen Pass from the missus :lol:

Hey, thanks for the link. I subbed you on youtube. I will probably get my motorcycle from Pig Trail Harley Davidson at: http://www.pigtrailhd.com/. I am looking at that site now and seeing if it would cost me extra if they delivered it to me, compared to if I went there to get it. I bet it might cost a little more, but I have to add that into the cost of the motorcycle, and the cost of the interest rate that I can get right now. Would you be able to make it to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ? LOL, hope you can get a kitchen pass from the missus, or maybe even bring her along if you come to Bikes, Blues, and BBQ.

Thanks for the invite, but AR is a long ride away with not many interesting roads inbetween. Maybe if you join Cowtipper on his Route 66 journey we can ride together.

Hey Cowtipper, I would like to go on the route 66 trip with you when it comes to the Ozarks trip. The Ozarks trip is usually in Russellville, unless it has changed. I think Trinith or maybe Matth would know where it is held. I am in Arkansas, so the route is either a little north of me in Missouri, or to the west of me in Oklahoma. I am in northwest Arkansas. There is a place in Tulsa that rents bikes at:http://www.route66h-d.com/ if you want to rent a Harley Davidson, other than that, I am not sure what other place you can rent from. I guess it all depends on where you fly into along the route when you come to the states. I have never been on route 66, so it will be a first for me, but I will bring my tom tom along with me. O ok, well, I will see what cowtipper84 says. Route 66 is a little north of me in Missouri, and then all you do is I think go south on Hwy 71 from Route 66, and then you will be going thru some small towns before you hit the border of Arkansas, and then what I would do, is go on I540 all the way down to Alma and then go east on Hwy 40 to Russellville, unless the meeting place has changed. Route 66 is also to the west of me near Tulsa, so I would have to take the Cherokee Turnpike into Tulsa, and meet cowtipper84 that way, and then it is a straight shot from there, going east until you hit Hwy 40 that can take you into Arkansas that way from Route 66.
