Hi everyone,
I've already posted around here a few times, but should introduce myself formally.
Name's not really Superballs, and it's a long story how I ended up with the moniker, but it started because someone told me the name of an ICP song, and I thought it was funny and was conveniently never taken on some forums, and due to the fact that I'm sometimes the resident forum angry guy crusading against the entitled and whiny, I tend to have to have some balls here and there..super balls.
I'm not really that angry, though, but firm in my opinions, until convinced that they are wrong...it's doable, but chanllenging.
I've wanted to motovlog for a long time, I love vloggers like eveRide and CycleCruza, but hate seeing Youtube drama between vloggers, and it's always disappointing to see that stuff.
I've been riding for 5 or so years now, love my VFR800 to the point where I've named my fledgling series after it (even if the name is dumb).
My Youtube channel has been a loose collection of randome videos for 7 years now, but has slowly started focusing on a local fireworks display (which is mind blowingly large, one of the largest in the world), theme park on-ride videos and finally, after waiting forever, motovlogging.
I've never been under the illusion that this stuff is easy, but I have to tell you, the challenge of being able to talk to my visor like it's another human being is a huge challenge.
Being topical and interesting is always hard when trying to ride and not crash into things, and I do have a major tendancy to pause and um and uhh, but other than that, I do feel like I'm starting to speak naturally.
I have one video up so far, and because it was my first, it's largely unedited, warts and all, has a typical overdone topic, but I like to tell stories and go off the rails so I do, it was just a fun time for me.
I'm going to upload my second soon, but I'm also encoding it at a different bitrate so that we have a nice basis to compare how we should be encoding stuff for youtube and that should be done tomorrow.
I hope to be a longstanding part of this community, and not bore everyone to tears while doing so.
