The Ducati is uncomfortable due to the reach to the bars, the 790 is an upright bike so should be a little better hopefully!

.... Well it is possibly looking like a £10k price tag, I am hoping that is for the "R" version else they are dreaming. The silencer while still being high level looks like it will run along the side rather than under the seat which is sad to read too! :-(
In my neck of the woods I think these are going to be super pricey, which is a shame.
Dunno if I would trade the Hypermotard in for one though...

deffo needs a bellypan and single sided swingarm imho but still a nice looking bike. Will it be made in KTMs india factory, does anyone know?

I don't get the love of the single sided swingarm, adds weight and potentially can have a negative effect on handling.

as for India, I think a lot of folk would be surprised as to how many manufacturers have their bikes pieced together in India!
I'm just generally curious. As i am aware, they have obtained more contracts from rival brands to build bikes there. Also, the single sided swingarm has no disadvantages to a traditional double sided swingarm. In fact, the only downside is you have to get a special paddock stand and maybe tools lol but i honestly think single sided is far more desirable, thats why you see them on more expensive built bikes. + Single sided is waaaaaay easier to change wheels and the chain alignment is fixed too.
I have not heard anything about it adding weight, if anything it should shed the weight lol but it doesnt, theres very little difference inbetween them from what i've read but I can understand the handling issue but again, from what i read, it doesn't affect it any different to a traditional swing arm. - Of course, if you're talking competition like MotoGP then obviously theres a reason GP bikes have traditional over single.

the only reason single sided became a thing is due to endurance racing. It is heavier, it is a hindrance, but yes, you are right it does look pretty. I'd not buy a sportsbike with a single sided swingarm though if I wanted the best power to weight ratio, however if I was after pretty then I may choose the tidy rear end over the twin spar!
Yeah, thats fair enough mate. For me it's usually looks or uniqueness. And i feel single sided adds to it. Unless you're trackday savvy then we all have to obey the speed majority of the time so a 300bhp bike really doesn't interest me that much
