i'm using the base model of sony vegas, have been for ages and find it great. but it will only allow slow motion down to 1/4 speed which is okay as the gopro black won't allow for any less than that at 1080p.

but does anyone know if the professional model of the sony software has that feature which can add frames in between the existing ones to essentially fake an ultra slow motion sequence?

ages ago i messed around slomovideo below which is a freeware program, it wasn't too bad but the quality drops quite a bit. i just thought it would be fun to occasionally have a bit of faked 1000fps footage.

if the top sony software does this then i reckon it could be worth upgrading. their website is woefully short on details with the software.

Slow it down to 1/4, then drag your clip into another timeline and you can slow it down to 1/4 again.

This gives you 1/16 speed and you can repeat it as many times as you want.

Don't waste time and money on other programs.

Frame blending looks nasty, but I thought it was a feature in all the Sony video editors. Normally on by default annoyingly.

Take a look at this post....

Good explanation and how frame blending if done correctly can work extremely well.

You can try using the flux feature in the gopro editor, youtube has a tutorial for it, works like a charm in certain situations
