Can Of Worms. What Annoys You About Other Bikers?

Bike bias and extreme brand fanboys.

EG; Harley and KTM riders piss me off because they think their overpriced machines (ktms aside, are decent but expensive as heck.) are better than everything else.

And new riders who skimp on protective gear and end up buying exhaust systems when they can't even use the stock power properly :X

Not all harley guys are like that. I love mine but don't think it's better than everyone else's bike out there. I like all types of bikes and will ride with anyone. Honestly my biggest pet peeve is people who judge ppl based on the type of bike they ride. It isn't the bike that causes the issue it's the douche bags that ride them and every type has their fair share of douche bags.

I love to ride and that is really what being a biker is all about.

Well that's what separates you from the large majority. Not all harley guys are like you.

I dislike bikers who ride out of there comfort zone or show off while in group rides zone as they are just plain dangerous. Iv had my own sister almost wipe me out because she was messing about!

Something that gave me some concern the other day while taking my little one to meet his ma, was that four adventure bike riders came sailing past. We all pulled over for them and they all acknowledged - so far, so good - but the thing that I was concerned about was how close to each other they were. If the lead guy was to slam his brakes on for any reason, especially while thinking about an overtake or god forbid in the middle of one, the other three would have piled in. I'm sure they would all say they were very experienced and safe riders who have been riding for years like this without a problem, but I would say they were a multiple accident waiting to happen.

Not uncommon to happen.

If you want to bunch up you need to stagger, so you're a second behind the bike in front, but two seconds behind the bike directly ahead, it's why the Police ride like that. Also keeps the pack smaller. When overtaking you keep the two second rule and preferably wait until the previous rider has completed his overtake before starting yours, situation dependent.

People who think that if they crash I am not in danger. They don't wear helmets and when that fly lands in their eye , I am the one that needs to become Houdini to escape his maneuvers.

Also guys that overtake you in a straight line with their Z800 or similar and then you brake on the corner so that you don't crash into them with your 125 scooter because in reality they just show off.

when they say THATS NOT A REAL BIKE, has he is sitting on a American made Harley in scotland and banging on about my "jap" bike .... am yet to find the grate mystery of what makes it a real bike.

Riders who get themselves injured/killed from riding like idiots/beyond their skill level and/or not wearing enough gear to protect themselves for their inevitable encounter with asphalt... Skews the statistics for the rest of us that ride intelligently and makes our significant others overly paranoid about our survival.

I really don't care what other riders do, but I've met some squids (no gear + talk big game) that really stick in my mind for a while. I met a guy on a 'Busa once that just started saying how he gets it up to 100 on frontage roads and how he just wrecked but still does it. Then I met another guy on a Gixxer 1000 telling me how he rides "All blacked out, bro" and "I'm usually speeding, still adding a turbo to my bike". I try my best to give people the benefit of the doubt, especially bikers, and not judge them. But there's a point when you just say "Man, what an asshole"

The words: "Is that one of them jap bikes that has you all bent over the tank?"

I take this a chance to educate people about what a handle bar is compared to clip-ons. So far, not a single person who has asked this question listened to my answer. Knowledge is power people!

I get the same comments about my Ninja 650.

A) Rider's with no gear/Passengers with no gear
B) Riding like a clown - revving at lights, racing between said lights, being obnoxious to other motorists
C) Not a single safety care given to themselves or other motorists on the road

1. People wearing shorts and t-shirts in the rain
2. People who wear shorts and t-shirts then complain about getting hurt when they go down
3. people that ride cruisers and talk shit on anything but a cruiser.
4. Sport bike guys that rev the piss out of their bikes like its a 2 stroke at an eduro cross every time they start their bikes up.

People who brake the law then complain about car drivers driving badly or cops that bust them.
Motorcycle riders who make fun of me for riding a scooter. ( It's ok I can take it. Besides I ride everyday so they can suck it. )

People who don't wear gear don't bother me at all as long as they have a helmet on. Speaking of which the amount of people that have a helmet on but don't strap it on, or wear it around their neck instantly makes me think they are an idiot. Mostly those are people on scooters though.

I caught a vid today of a couple on a bike. This time it was a cruiser, but I've seen it on sport bikes as well. No helmets, no gear, short sleeves and short pants. The passenger was on her cell phone, texting. Probably about how handsome the guy on the red Ducati is (pff. yeah right )

I have only been riding since June so I am sure i do things that piss off other bikers but what really annoys me is bikers who go out on their bike in a T-Shirt and Shorts or bikers who commute on their superbike wearing a suit. Just not safe and they should know better.

lol don't get me started I feel the Miffed gene kicking in, you won't like me when i am Miffed  :)

I wouldn't call it full-on annoyance, but it always seems weird when I see someone in a $400 helmet and a t-shirt/shorts, or the $400 helmet strapped to the bike and them riding without one.
