I use a go pro suction cup mount with a sticky pad slide on mount on the back of my otter box. I have been riding with the same phone using this setup for about 8 months now and no problems.

Anyone concerned about the vibrations from the bike being transferred to the phone?

I have a RAM X-grip and it doesn't transfer any vibrations to my phone. The only way the mount would fail is by user error. IE not putting your phone in all the way.

Sounds like I need to invest lol. Also does anyone know what app it is where its a gps and it shows you positions of cop cars. Like you can report that you seen one on a major street. Then when other people are taking that route it shows up that a cop was there on their phone?

I have never heard an application that can show the position of the police car and I guess it does not exist

There are crowd sourced mobile speed camera systems about, one was done by road angel, which was a canera warning system, oops, I mean a safety black spot warning system... But as far as im aware, there's no current app available in the uk where users can share info like this, and given the number of tossers over here, it would likely be abused and become useless anyway.

Fixed camera notification systems are legal in the UK, TomTom provide it for their GPS systems and it is updated regularly but can get annoying when it keeps going off for road watch cameras for traffic.

Waze is brilliant for that, or at least it used to be.

I am not sure about Canadaland but in the US we have an app called Waze. It is AWESOME... it is populated by the people. Gives directions, fastest routes, cop locations, construction zones... everything you ever want to know.

Slipgrip with a ram mount. Slipgrip makes holders that are phone specific and even phone and case specific. I have used the product 4 years so far with different phones and cases, I don't plan on trying anything else, just a new slipgrip when I get a new phone. If it rains, I put a ziplock bag around my phone and it stays in place. Highly recommended.

We sell RAM mounts at my work, so can vouch for the quality of them, we don't do the grip mounts though. Mostly the suction mounts.

I have the x-grip by ram as well and used it on a 200 mile trip last weekend. I ride a harley with no windshield and at 80+ mph the phone never budged and I use a Samsung note so its a big phone to catch wind and still had no issues. I highly recommend this mount.
