Expanding Your Repertoire ?

Mr fish

It's not what , it's how
My kids are trying to get me to branch out on my channel by doing other Vlogs so wondered if anyone else has ant thoughts on this ..it would mean showing my face (which may be scary)

I do a lot of metal detecting and have been thinking of starting a second channel for that stuff as not to dilute my motovloging channel with off topic vids but have not done anything about it yet, I like the idea of keeping a channel per topic/genre whatever you want to call it!

It would be on a different channel as you said i would like to keep the motovlogging its own thing so i would only do motorcycle/scooter stuff on that channel ...it would be interesting to know if anyone else has separate channels

A fair few people have second channels I used to have a computer graphics and film editing one that was fun but just spread myself too thinly. As for face reveal who cares !

I think its a great idea. I have done some videos with my kids and will tell you it is so much fun. They enjoy helping a whole lot.

Showing my face isn't something I try to do, but if my face appeared in a video accidentally I wouldn't mind. It's bound to happen eventually.

Honestly as far as different videos goes, it all comes down to how much you enjoy it. If you don't enjoy it then there isn't really a point in branching out. For myself, most of my hobbies are somewhat in the same category, so keeping it on the same channel wouldn't be an issue.

I love your dual vlog with your kids. Just a cool thing to enjoy together

As far as the OP I think it's a solid idea. If it's all just for fun there's really no downside just taking up a little added time. Could be a fun experience though. I say go for it

Go for it. I plan on doing vlogs about finishing up my pilots license and going to the range. If I have time this summer I'm going to throw in the process to get a skydiving license. It's a great way to keep things interesting and gives you an excuse to try new things.

I have a pilots license :D i can only fly in the day, upto 4 seats aswell. BUT I CAN FLYYYY LIKE AN EAGLEEE :P anyone fancy lending me a 4 seater plane? :D

A second channel is an option, but I know of some people who vary their subject matter (like MrausAdventure for instance, does motovlogging, MTB, canoeing) and they just use the titles to differentiate, so people know what's coming.

Hey Matt why day only? Are you colorblind? When I got my physical the doc said I was shade blind and had to get signed off by the tower to fly at night. Good thing I didn't go into the Air Force. I would have never been able to be a pilot. lol.

Nah, it's just the occasional vid I put up is a video of my advanced training sessions. Purely riding and because I'm constantly on it having to make sure I try and get the best possible lines and planning in, I don't talk much.
