Sad Day

Well, I've been filming in 60fps but YouTube wants to take its sweet time and make my upload time 600+ minutes to upload. I have AT&T internet but my PC is on wifi so my connection isn't the best. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to go back to 30fps to get better upload times. :(

Why not just leave the upload page minimised it wont affect you unless the upload affects your connection that much ?????

Just because it takes way too long. I prefer just uploading it quick and move on with my day. Sometimes I just let it upload overnight but I don't like leaving my PC on all night. Just personal preference

I upload from my Galaxy Tab 3, after editing, I transfer the footage over, upload via Wi-Fi and leave it never to the router, and go for a rife or work.

Not a bad idea! I would just leave my PC running and let it upload but I just don't like it being on for so long.

Why don't you just run an ethernet cord straight from your PC to your router :o ??? If it's not a straight run, then why not just buy a super long cable and plug it in only when uploading :o ??? That'll speed things up ;) !

In an ideal world, yes. But my room is clear across the house compared to where the router is :(

I usually work from a place of being ahead. I have 3 videos ready to go usually and I'm uploading one that is ready. If I want to publish it before the other ones I bump it off its time and replace it. But in weird so...and I have no way to end this so I'm going to awkwardly back out of here........

Just set your computer to auto sleep after so many hours if you don't want it running all day. Really though it's not going to hurt the computer. Think about it every office out there is full of computers that run constantly. It's not like it's left processing constantly it's just on at idle really.

2.66gb is a big file how long are they? you could try changing your codec to one that compresses it abit more h.264 or something, might speed it up abit.

My internet provider's signal keep dropping. Not sure if it's cos I've dropped the router a couple of times or because it's just a crap system.

But my computer is playing up now aswell, either the motherboard, the graphics card or the monitor about to go kaputt. Monitor just goes black with on button still green - all I have to do is turn on and off the power button on the monitor to fix it, but there's a problem somewhere.

This old bird not done bad though, considering I built her myself and she's been going strong for nearly 10 years. Think it's time I upgraded my motherboard, RAM and processor. Bit like an oil change really.
