First Motorcycle Crash?

So, as said I had my first crash (and second lol) the other day, and sadly i didnt even catch it on camera:p . Anyway i burned my leg pretty badly on the exhaust, basicaly i have all of the gear besides the riding pants wich i ordered but are still being delivered.

How it happened was, it was pretty much the worst possible scenario and when i look back at it i dont know why did i even do it lol... it was raining, mudy downhill and dark.. and i had a set of road tires on instead of knobbies:) + i've never ridden that trail before
(i happen to be extremly dumb and make poor decisions at times xD)

as mentioned above i didnt just crash once but it happened twice in few minutes, i touched exhaust with my leg both times, fml rite..anyway, bike is fine and the rest of me is aswell

I won't be able to ride for a bit now, but luckily I managed to get some other footage that day so, i have stuff to make videos for a while.

what are your crash stories, was it your fault or someone else's? did you wear all the gear? were you or your bike hurt/damaged?

gimme something so i dont feel so silly by myself:p

Sorry to hear that! I've been down once, real slow ( 10mph) I was cut off by a car and braked, but I was mid turn and thus fell down.

Thanks for the sub! Bike was fine, I replaced the bent lever and mirror on the side that the bike went down. However that was on my VROD, I sold that two years ago- that bike was a true beast. The Hyper is just plan fun, I call it the swiss army knife of urban bikes, as it can do just about everything.

yeah that sucks, i dropped my Husqvarna a couple of times(but only on dirt) and luckily no real damage to the bike, i did break off my mirror too tho :P

i definatly love the hyper..I might get it after i finish school and get a job in couple of years. but it's still a long way to there and meanwhile my Husqvarna is just awesome aswell:D

I just had my first crash Sunday, and like you, I didn't have my camera :p I had my gear on (thankfully) and don't have any road rash, however my left shoulder has been in a lot of pain the last few days. Great time of year for it to happen though (if there is such a thing) I will be apple to replace all the broken parts on my bike over the winter and not miss any riding time because of it.

I took a corner too fast and hit the curb, I flew off and the bike when sliding down the road in sparks while I rolled for awhile. Thankfully there was no traffic so neither the bike or I hit anything (Insurance won't go up :) :) )

Anyway I feel like a complete idiot for going so fast around a corner that was new to me.

rsixmaniac ..that sucks, but atleast you had your gear, and i've had a few close calls with curbs myself lol. I actualy nearly crashed today, again taking corners too fast:P and i went over a patch of sand, last wheel lost traction and i flew off the road lol, luckily i caught myself and didnt crash:D

I had a woman pull out of her driveway without looking, I came on to my side as I tried to pull my self out of the way, only doing about 25mph, I was wearing full gear so not a scratch on me! but my poor little YBR, well as the bitch didn't stop to swap insurance details, I had to fix all the problems with a hammer basically. Next day took it to Brighton, with a mate on his 125 the first long ride I had ever done and all I needed was a few pain killers for my Hand which was sore for the accident.

That was my first time coming off but I don't know if it will be the last, everyday I improve something about my riding, my next vlog will be a safety one as I was inspired to do one by a few discussions I have been having recently.

well atleast you were alright..although wrecking your bike is never fun, and especialy when you gotta repair/pay for it, yourself

You don't own a bike until you drop it so I'm told.

You're not a biker until you crash

I'm both which is a costly shame

Suzi - Thanks and I Agree

Dan - I hate dropping bikes, Its like dropping a 200kg+ Smart Phone, First is the embarrassment, Second begging 'Please Be Okay!' Third 'oh shit how much will this cost?'

I've got my first few crashes the first time I got off-roading with my Honda bike. On the same day.
First one, I got on a patch of mud while trying to corner
Second one, I stopped and tried to put my foot down... only to find a hole right under my foot, went sideways.
Third one, A hole caught my front wheel and I ended up eating dirt.

Then while riding in the city I got this one on video, again on the same bike.
A really disgusting crash. I don't even want to know what that liquid on the street was.

That's sucks, but at least you weren't going too fast and are ok. I've only ridden couple of times in the wet, but even so after seeing so many lowsides in the rain on YouTube, I take corners at an absolute creep. I know I probably piss off cars behind me in those corners but oh well!

My tiger is a little to tall for me, so on uneven ground its hard to stay balanced whilst stationary.

Not dropped mine, but someone hit me when I was stationary. Does that count as me crashing it?
- How did that happen?

my first crashed happen 2 weeks ago. im ok and bikes ok. was going 40 mph around a turn on a road i did not know and i came on a stop sign and i just reacted and had no time to think. i just grab the brakes and lost control and fell over. happen so fast. i even got it on my gopro and posted it on my youtube account. i am very luck it was not worse. i still ride everyday.
