Facebook

i set up a face book account specifically when i started MotoVlogging....did the usual and friended as many people as possible....

But, oh my god, the absolute inane shite that some people post..its enough to make your brain melt.

No i know why i never had one before....necessary evil now though..:(

I have to say this, I haven't been able to open facebook since a fellow vlogger passed away.
I don't even know why but it hit me hard.:(

How did you refrain from rev bombing the woman at the roundabout...great display of patience..
2 years ago and I'd have bashed on the window, but I'm much more laid back now.

Plus having a little moan and beeping my horn (once I found the darn thing!) made me feel better :)

HaHa yeah i hate that the amount of times i have gone for a good horn blast and ended up putting my indicators on...does not have quite the same effect :)

I haven't bothered with Facebook for Motovlogging.

I've been struggling to build up a music Facebook page for years. The work I put in, versus the interaction I get out just doesn't really seem worth it. Plus I always feel like I'm just spamming people whenever I post something.
That coupded with the fact that if you don't PAY Facebook, they don't even show your posts to all of your 'Likers' anyway.

My page has hovered around 950-980 likes for 2 years now. never more, never less. Yet every time I post, it says 'This post reached 100-200 people, BOOST POST to reach more'. So getting the 'Like' is only half the battle. I know that you're supposed to spend money to make money so I tried 'BOOSTING' a post. Nothing happened!!

So I'll just stick with youtube and forums for the bike stuff!

After a few weeks I think Facebook is great for keeping my family in the loop on my vlogs and little else.

Most of my interaction is on YouTube itself with followers/subscribers.

My family does not know that I vlog. They maybe think that I do but never saw any material, as far as I know.
Some people ask and I give them hints that I vlog but they don't seem interested.

It's a way of them seeing how I'm doing when I move abroad. I've never been one to derp on bookface so it's a bit trickier for them to see how I'm doing.

I gave up on facebook once they demanded I use my real name and send them my licence or gov ID to prove my real name. If it isn't bad enough they whore your email and phone number they are now after peoples IDs.

Google+ is they way to go ;)

I link all my videos on my facebook page, but I don't have a LIKE page for my vlogs, not until there becomes a following demand

Yup it is clunky at the moment but it is becoming more integrated. They seem to be deciding if they want it to be a Twitter or Facebook rip off. Needs work I agree!
That's my biggest problem with it. It's trying to replace something that already exists and works better, rather than plugging a gap in the market.
