A motovlogging app?

What's up guys, I had this idea of creating a motovlogging app and I am really curious how the community would resond to this.

It would be an app for vloggers and vlog followers. I can imagine tons of handy features but I want to let the community decide on that.

Do you think such an app is a nice to have? Or a disaster waiting to happen...

Some of the features I can think of for a vlogger would be:
- Post updates
- Instant post to g+
- Instant facebook
- Link social feeds
(So that users can follow these feeds)
- Social profile
- Gear
- Website
- Information
- Gallery
- FAQ
- Maybe a live chat feature with your followers?
- Plan grouprides and gather your members with availability, gps locations etc.

You know, a place where all your scattered information will be in one place...the features will be up to the community.

As a vlog follower you can of course get instant notifications when your favorite vlogger goes to the toilet, or uploads a video...whatever information you prefer.

I am in the business of making apps, and I would want to make this one in my private time and of course available at no costs...

generally i do like the idea, however i think the privacy of the vlogger should remain, so no join in the toilet or under the blanket

Yes..privacy is a big thing for me as well. Are there any specific features that would make you use the app?

Like a news feed of new posts on motovlog?

I could see posts on Motovlog & maybe a ZeeMap of where everyone's at would be cool... and maybe, like you said, gear for those who would like to post, would be a neat feature, too... can't hurt but to try to whip something up and try it out, can it ???

True dat, though I am kinda a perfectionist and I wouldn't want to 'lose' many many hours developing something that is absolutely no interest for hehehe. But if I give it a shot, I'll keep you guys uprised. I assume most of you are on android?

Not that it matters, the app will be for both but the iOS version will be released later since it's expensive and apple has a very slow release process...

yeah android, the map would be cool, sort of a all in one app basically of what you have mentioned already. I do think that some info's should stay a mystery, especially since the majority of mvlogger like to stay anonymous as much as they can for whatever reasons.

Yea, totally agreed. With a profile I also didn't mean your name and address, but just the info that you are already sharing. Your handle, country (if you want), gear...etc

Anybody wants to signup as beta tester? I would begin with a webbased app so device doesnt matter, tablet, phone, whatever.... I think i'll start tonight wippin' up some code and might have something usable in a week or so.

How funny would it be, to enable some of your buddies to see your GPS location when you enable it in the app. So like a total private GPS beacon, that only your buddies can see. If you are vloggin you can enable that beacon, and the people that have permission to view that location can come visit you when you are busy vlogging . Have a section called 'vloggers near me'.

It would be very private, only the people that you choose can see the location, and ONLY when you enable the beacon.

looks like a great start! I like the 007 beacon! One thing though, can you link a FB page instead of a private profile? I think that would be the case for most of the motovloggers... uuuuuiiiiiii i'm blushed to see my name so close to RJ and BakerXDerek LOL
