BEST Youtube Marketing tricks

What are some of your best ways to help market your channel that have gained you more subs. I’d be interested to hear how many of you are marketing your channels to help push and gain subs and such.

There are no shortage of motorcycle reviews.

If you can find a way to make clearly UNBIASED motorcycle reviews - that's the secret.

But don't expect manufacturers / dealers to cooperate with anyone saying negative stuff about their products. And don't expect viewers if they see you are pandering to manufacturers and regurgitating press releases - they'll bail.

(Just general comments not aimed at anyone specifically)

I think one of the best Marketing Tricks is "be out there"

One of Walterifics best tricks was handing out his Youtube Spam Cards to EVERYONE and making a things about, come and get one. Imagine if this was combined with a popular motorcycle shop, 10% off with the Spam card if you also show you are subscribed to the Channel.

Yes but how is person presenting said card going to show the shop they are subscribed. And would the shop care.
Also 10% is a higher margin that shops make on many products. So not easy to set up something like that.

Also I've seen a lot of negative comments re walteriffic handing out these cards, so it's not universally applauded by his viewers,

Think you're being a bit too detail orientated on something that's a base idea that I'm not seriously looking to implement.

Waterific isn't my cup of tea, but 2.8m subs speaks for itself. The guy must be doing something right, that many subs and views you're going to get some negative Nancie's and haters

Do any of you review products/accessories for your bikes as you get them ?
I generally do. Only if I count them as a performance product meaning RAM mounts and all random accessories such as that don't really count (atleast for me).

I agree, Ive seen biased reviews too many times but I do enjoy listening to other people when they "things i hate about my motorcycle" videos.

I personally love doing motorcycle reviews specifically as a beginner because I get to talk about what I love while I ride.

My installs and reviews tend to be my most viewed and interacted with videos. I just did one that isn't bike specific for a Harbor Freight Liquid Transfer Pump that I only really use to top off and/or fill my bikes tanks. Then I have very specific ones such as my install and reviews for the Progressive Suspension upgrades I did for my Sportster. I wish I had the time and money to do more install and reviews.

The rebuild serie did quite well for some people that will be coming back. Mainly finding those that have the same bike ;)

For views the Himalayan did awesomely. Same as the near-crash video's.
So just almost crash or get almost hit allot will help you gain massive views xD

Rebuilds are awesome but so expensive finding parts. I like watching people who do unique builds.

Crash or near-crash videos will get people to watch for sure. Then get promoted by Moto-madness and those crash compilations channels.

Those compilation channels don't get you much footwork to be honest ;)
If any at all. It is more just people searching for those vids.

Rebuild wasn't that expensive luckily, but they can be quite quickly indeed.
But awesome to do when you just have a new bike, to make it your own ;)

Its strange but I find often videos that get lots of views (like review vids) dont always pick up subscribers - I think its is because YouTube is often used as a reference tool as well as a viewing platform and often a review video adresses a viewers single problem as do "fix it" vids. I think you pick up subs when the viewer is interested in the overall direction of your channel , if your channel jumps all over the place with its content subjects (like my channel !!!) then I think it switches off subscribers - just my opinion based on my observations and didley swat science

I agree, I find that you need a reason for people to subscribe to your channel. One of my cousins who is big into youtube gave me this good advice. "Why should people follow you? Why should they listen to what you have to say? Then thats why I personally branched out my channel and do more motorcycle related things such as reviews or installs.

I guess at the end of the day, what I mean is that you have to give a reason for your audience to subscribe and stay with you. Its like dating, You have the looks but you stay for the personality lol.

A good vlog or video will get people to follow you.
A good review will get you viewhours.

Depending on what you want/need you can choose.
Although for many of us, doing what you like should be ranked highest in said decision ;)

I haven't really done much "pushing" or marketing, I've just been making videos I want to make every week and learning as I go, trying to incrementally get better at video making. I do use Facebook and Instagram to draw attention to my channel but very passively, I haven't really put a lot of effort into either one yet. Most of my views and subs have come directly from YouTube itself so far.

Maybe this winter I'll put more time into utilizing Facebook & Instagram better. It could be fun to try and see if it has any positive impact or not.

I agree with some of the points raised above. Being unique and unbiased generally will get you views and subs will follow however it can be hard to hit that unique level as we all take influence from others.

Regarding review vids, for bikes anyway, I am just as bad as anyone else for looking on YouTube before buying but hardly ever subscribed to that channel. Something I am trying to address.
