So I Got Into An Accident.

Crashed against a taxi, broken fairings, broken plastic everywhere.
I'm really fucked up emotionally. I can't believe this shit happened just now.

Worst part: Insurance here can take years to pay for the damages. Even worse: cannot get any spare parts from the local Kawasaki dealer. Getting worst: I don't have my bike, cannot get to work, cannot move around.
I don't know what the fuck to do now.

Feeling for you brother.....are you okay though ...nothing broken bone wise ?

That's bad dude. Why would the insurance take so long to pay out? Normally it's a couple of weeks and then they sort out the blame?

Sucks man. Any explanation on what happened? And your plans for getting to work (bicycle, public transport, walk?)

I agree with C&C. The best thing is you're okay, at least enough to complain about all the other problems. It sucks for sure just remember you're still here to complain about it.

it sucks for sure, but you are alive, you have had a REALLY good lesson to learn from, any accident that you can walk away from and dissect it into the smallest detail to go through and gain experience is okay, sure it sucks, it sucks the big one but you will be better for it in the long run, I know what it's like, 120KM/h to a dead stop into a gutter drain.... it hurts, I nearly cried cause my bike was so smashed up, but I ran through what I did leading up to the crash over and over and over and learned what the factors were that caused the accident so as not to have it happen to me again, some of it was beyond my control but a lot of it was well and truly within my control but I didn't listen to the warning signs.

recently had one too.. know what your feeling man. hospital for 3 days, and home for 2 weeks.. It sucked balls

Get well, heal up right, then Hit the streets again! (but dont crash)

That really sucks fella. Always sad to hear about another bike getting bashed up. Always happy to hear the biker still being around to bitch about it though! You'll get back on it one way or another. It's what you love.

Glad you're alright.

That sucks man, but glad you're physically alright (I assume). Maybe you could buy a cheap second hand bike while you're waiting for insurance?

I'm going to assume that wherever he got in an accident in, insurance or laws around payout from insurance must be a slow roll process due to insurance fraud. It's just a guess on my part.

I think I should update a bit here, my insurance didn't cover damages to my motorcycle. The cabbie's insurance was supposed to pay for damages, then the company went bankrupt. So I sued everyone, still waiting for that to be sorted. In the meantime I got a crappy car to move around (207 HDI, I call it the french turd).
I think if I get back on two wheels, it's gonna be after getting another motorcycle as the baby ninja situation is really complicated. Can't wait to do it as driving a car or truck is stressing.
Also, I want it all to be sorted so I can upload the video of the crash ;)

I hope you get back on your feet soon mate, that is horrid to have to go through. Am guessing insurance in Argentina is run differently to in the UK. Proper feel for you bud.

Feel for you man, sucks balls!
Cannot believe it takes so long to sort stuff out!!
Most important thing is that YOU are okay... Take it easy when you do finally jump back on :D
