Winter Editing And Youtube Postings

Some Canadian Chick On A Sports Bike!
I have a question for you guys.

I have a lot of footage as I had some stuff this summer that prevented me from editing and posting but I was still recording everything and downloading it onto my external hard drive.

Would it be strange to go though the footage and release the footage in video's even though it's footage that could have been recorded in August?

Does anyone else do this or do you release everything as it happens?

I have 35-40 videos recorded that I need to edit.

I'll end up scrapping half of them, but the rest will make up my winter content.

Plus I plan on doing skiing, skiichute (skiing off a mountain into paragliding), toboggan etc related vlogs in winter as we get so much snow here.

No one cares if you release summer content in winter, as it's only winter in your tiny corner of the world right now (if it is). Elsewhere it's the middle of summer.

Yeah Canada is like a giant Switzerland. One of the few places in the world with 4 proper seasons.

None of this 2 days of snow and 2 days of sun per year the UK gets :p
 
If the content is decent, does it matter when it's posted? Unless you have stated clearly that your videos are in chronological order and sync to your real time life events. Otherwise just say it's a compilation or throwback and post it.

I don't think it's strange to upload stuff a t a different point in time rom when it was filmed at all. We ride all year round but still have a lot of trouble getting things edited and out inside of a month or 2 , so yeah go for it. Gives you something to do other than hibernate :)

I seem to get distaste by my ps4 or Xbox a lot!!

Edit it and stick it up!! Doesn't matter when it's from. People still enjoy watching. And in the winter over here in the UK Its just rain, rain and more rain, so will be nice to watch something that's sunny!!

I'm new to vlogging but one of mine that is a compilation of clips came from different days out.

Wish we just had rain ... I'd ride all year long!!

I don't mind when people put content up, although I was a bit foxed by 02BigKev putting up snow videos in June one year. Took far too long for the penny to drop.

If you get the snow like me then you have nothing to complain about. Go grab your snowboard and GoPro and keep making videos :)
 
I had to come in and brag that it does not snow here! Rarely even gets below freezing during mid day ...however the summer is a pretty gnarly heat show with lots of tropical rain sooooo its a trade off but no storage needed ;)

Good content is good content. You guys have a real winter up there in Canada. So I don't think anyone will squawk about summer vids in the winter. Besides, after being buried in snow for a couple of months, some people would like to see some sun!

I know - I just like to try to brag because i miss winter lol where i grew up it would only snow once every couple years but that is better than none! lol

However, it is nice riding the bike all year long - but no snow sports :(

In the UK it's the end of the world and everything stops when there's an inch of snow on the ground. Here it's "a bit difficult" if the snow has covered your house.

Skiing is a lot easier when the houses are buried :p
