I'm thinking about upgrading right now. I've heard a lot of good things about it. Also heard the bads like the install screwing up and breaking files and that it's really bad about sending your info. In conclusion, i just want to know what you guys think about it,

Its an upgrade. there are risks, but to me its worth it

When i upgraded, the vga port on my laptop happened to go at the same time. I thought it was a driver issue etc.

Other than that, no issues really

I have one pc upgraded and my work pc is not... drivers are slowly being released, so I would make sure all of your hardware and software are updated before changing. But once drivers are sorted, I really like 10.

Provided you don't have ancient hardware - just go for it. It runs like Windows 8.1 but better and you actually have the start menu back.

The only downside I see is that after 30 days you cannot roll back but it doesn't remove the old windows installs AND I had to upgrade the video card on my media PC =(

UPDATE: Tried it last night, which resulted in me getting 0 videos done lol. It was pretty nice, startup was alot longer (expected from running for the first time). Ended up rolling back for one single reason, anytime i tried to type in anything; torch, IE, Chrome, the search menu on start menu, settings, xbox app, the program would crash.
Only time it didn't happen was typing in text for a text box in sony vegas. I would have tried to figure it out but i couldn't type in any of the browsers and i got grounded from my phone which left me with no other way to use the internet, so i had to roll back to 7 :(

I did it about a week ago. Can't say I have any real problems. Was a small problem with my raid driver but was fairly easily fixed.

Upgraded, no suicide inducing issues encountered. What Lurch said, back up whatever you think is important (especially the porn), before you do.

Nope! Win 10 is the new Windows Millennium, anyone remember that?

I spent about 2 hours removing it from a friends computer, accidentally installed and it made the machine useless even though the hardware was plenty within spec. Not to mention all of the other junk it installs with it. Many tech users feel Win10 is extremely close to malware.

Much of the enterprise is just completing migration to windows 7. MS can't screw around with those customers because that's where their money is made, they just release the junk to consumers until they get a more stable OS developed...

I'm failing to see the huge benefit of Mac, although I've now had this MacBook for 2 years and I've not wanted to throw it out the window yet and it hasn't fallen over irretrievably like my last PC did after 18 months.
