What bike should i get next?
Hey everyone, Charlotte is gone, not scraped but sold to a dealer for £720, pretty good i think. I now have £1720 to spend on a new Motorbike. The question is what do i get, im not staying on a 125cc, my insurance is fine for a 600cc, i just dont know where to go from here, i would genuinely like to stick with Yamaha. Any ideas would be awesome, cheers lads!

Re: What bike should i get next?
Well if you want to stick with Yamaha and have a 600 then your looking at getting a bike like an old style fzs600 or maybe a fazer and depending on how much more money you can get, possibly even a decent R6 (I know how much you like them) My advice would be to widen your search and consider other brands as well mate

All so very true, im going to take a look around, i have my Mod1 + Mod2 in the next coming week, i think an old R6 is the way i will go! Maybe a 1999 model?

Thundercats are good, not quite as sporty as an R6 but still very decent.

Ever thought about something like an xj6 or a honda hornet or does that not really appeal to you?

CBR FS, SV650 or a Fazer would be my choices.

Gorgeous bikes =] I really wouldn't get a CBR like friz's. They really aren't suitable to restrict, and why spend over £7,000 on a powerful bike just to restrict it.

Re: What bike should i get next?
Im actually thinking now of sticking to 125 for a year to bring insurance down more and getting an enduro, maybe the Yamaha WR125X? second hand of course

Re: What bike should i get next?
Theres nothing wrong with restricting a 600. My 650 is restricted and the only restriction that is on it is the throttle i think (according to the document that tells you how to restrict it). Easy Peasy. You still get enough power to overtake cars on the motorway ect but not too much that you could hurt yourself. perfect
