brothers zx6, crashed, but is in intensive care, but things are looking up.
My accident: riding back from uni, 5 mins from home and a nice lady in a spanking new peugeot 3008 pulled out from the side of the road in an attempt to do a u turn through a gap in the central res. didn't see me coming.... 40 limit, was doing 40. hit drivers side door, put head through drivers window. fractured my skull, bruised my arm, nerve damage to my left shoulder leaving me unable to lift my arm greater than 40 degrees unaided and it cant carry heavy stuff (even the lighter stuff hurts it, but I can put up), numb on left side of face, altered sensation around face chest and back (touch top of my breastbone and it tickles my chin, touch cheek it tickles ear etcetc), hole in side of neck... see avatar. was in a neck brace for three months as the fracture was where the skull rests on the spine, still in a fair bit of pain in the neck. got to give it at least 18 month before they decide there is nothing they can do with my shoulder.... having regular physio, but with only two months to go for the 18 month period to be up, we (physio and I) dont think its going to get any better.

Brothers and nephews accident:
on way back from skegness, riding 30ish mph filtering down side of queuing traffic leading up to one of the many roundabouts. local lincoln bloke in a spanking new audi a5 estate decides he doesn't want to wait. attempts uturn, front of car hits aide of brothers bike as my brother swerved right out to try to avoid, mainly lots of cuts scrapes and bruises. brothers nephew hit side of car. cut his arm needing stitches.

The thing with your sensation being wrong is it gonna improve?
when I was 9 I had a accident and smashed my front teeth and broke the nerves so i have no feeling from them. yet now there is no difference between them and sensations from any other teeth. its like my bodys remapped the sensations of other things to compensate. hope it turns out the same for you.

Our family fleet:
The white enduro is my first bike. It's chinese Shupa TXA125. I crashed that thing numerous times (it was a pretty hard landing once) and now it passes to my younger brother as his starter bike. The bike in the middle is czech two-stroke Jawa 350/639. That's my father's ride, it was his favourite bike when he was young so he bought one now. And that yellow thing is my Hornet.

The white enduro is my first bike. It's chinese Shupa TXA125. I crashed that thing numerous times (it was a pretty hard landing once) and now it passes to my younger brother as his starter bike. The bike in the middle is czech two-stroke Jawa 350/639. That's my father's ride, it was his favourite bike when he was young so he bought one now. And that yellow thing is my Hornet.

not sure about the sensation to be honest, they've been concentrating more on the bigger issues.... my shoulder and my memory. neither of which are getting any better... I look a right dick trying to get items off the top shelf in a supermarket... but then forget about it the next day.

This is my 1st geared bike my good old Aprilia 50cc. She lived (as did I) being hit by a truck, my 1st and so far only crash
Then came my Rieju RS2 50 pro (this was the version with the inverted forks) I liked her, she was a fast bike! (for a 50)
Then came my current bike, Helena the Yamaha FZS Fazer 600, funnily enough this thread has made me think that the Fazer is my first non europeen bike. Quite a jump from my little 50cc bikes but I love her!

sorted it now.
I crashed my 125 a couple of times, but the majority of the damage on it was already there when I bought it....i knew I could spray it up. I just added to the damage, everytime i dropped it, it landed on the same side.
I can always remember my old man having bikes when I was a kid.... think I have a photo of one with me infront somewhere. its only now that as my dad is doing his full test, I realise that his bikes were old two stroke 125's
so I could say I've been bought up around bikes. my older bro used to have a pedal and pop that he used to take on the top field and I used to go with him (back in the days when you weren't a menace to society by doing so and 9/10 times, the bikes weren't stolen. now its the other way around.
but then early 2011 my brother rang me to say "ive done my cbt and theory, got my mod 1 on...." so I thought, yeah, I'll go do my cbt, I'll be happy with that, got bitten by the bug, got rid of my 125 after owning it only a month, bought the zx6 in jun 2011, passed first time a month later...

though people allso say the Aprilia looked bigger. Both were 2 stroke so they shifted nicely

I showed it to my mate after we'd been to watch his sister do a concert, he saw it and said "oh that's awesome! must be fast!!" then I walk up to it, switch it on, and he just stands there looking and says "yeah.... wasn't expecting that" make me laugh a fair bit at the time haha

the strange thing with me is no one in my family rides. I didnt know anybody that rode until i got my bike myself. Even my first experience of motorcycling was being put on the back of a dirt bike and riding around a park which was terrifying. yet somehow i can always remember wanting a motorbike XP. guess its just in my blood haha. seams we are going over motorbikes heres my 2nd bike.
Its a honda bros 400 which burnt oil and died a unworthy death at the hands because i got drunk and let someone i didnt know very well ride it... some lessions you have to learn the hard way.....
