Everyone has their own style, some have fancy 3D intros, others (like the Baron) keep it nice and simple. Personally, my favourite is bakerXderek's intro...it's funny as hell but also he records a new footage for it every time which makes it refreshing. Just curious what everyone else likes?

Oh yaaa...someone else had a crazy intro where it was a footage of them flying through a super narrow tunnel talking to the camera. I wanna say it was M13 but I haven't been able to find it since...any one know what I'm talking about?

I like the KISS method, keep it simple stupid. I had a longer intro with graphics but after watching a bunch of 'pro' looking videos I noticed all their transitions were simple cuts and all the intros were very short and crisp. I changed mine to just a picture of my dog, a bark, 2 seconds long and done... Before it was a 4 second clip, my graphic intro and music for 8 seconds and then fade in. I think a short intro is easier to digest.

I'm really enjoying The Gentleman Bikers Intro lately. Very short, bit of video trickery and then good honest British slapstick.

Mine is ever different. Sometimes a bit of footage first, sometimes the intro to start. But always just a few words and a little jingle. KISS.

It's going to be mine, of course.

I have actually two, a short, 600ms audio clip where the channel name flies into the screen for when I don't have anything special to make into an intro and a 4 second jingle for when I want to show something in the intro and then the channel name flies into the screen.

Simple, short, not boring.

Then I have the super long, 17 seconds clip that I still never used and the full song which is 4 minutes long.
I'm saving them both for a special occasion.

The full song will be used when I close my YT channel. That is going to be my last video.

I find his annoying. But we are all different. I prefer the simple approach.

I sometimes wonder if bakerXderek ever regrets doing his intro, as now he has to do it all the time.

Yeah, I think he hit the wall with that intro. It's pretty good, but hard to beat and then after awhile it becomes annoying. That said, it has worked out for him. No good on him.

I'm definitely going to keep a short and easily repeatable intro.

Editing videos is a big enough pain without having to make a new intro every time too.
