Damn, I hope he is o.k. That sucks man to have his license for a week or so, and that happens. I never take my gear for granted at all when I ride. Too many conditions or crazy people that can ruin my day if I do not have my gear on.He just had his license for a week or so, and then this happened...fucking sucks right!?

That is good. I look at wearing gear like this, and this is my opinion:Yea sucks very badly. I never take my gear for granted either...never and after witnessing this, I won't for a long long time to come...hehe

If in an accident, what will be cheaper in the long run? (What it will probably cost here in the states.)
Estimated 5,000 dollars or 10,000 for a life flight trip to the hospital, another few more thousand dollars for the CAT scans and the results, and the hospital stay with drugs to kill the pain, or reconstuctive surgery depending on the severity of it, and not also to mention the if factor if that person's insurance company will foot the bill or not, despite having to pay a certain deductible. All of this could run into an astronomical amount of money that can put a person into a financial strait that it will take them a while to recover, while the bike repair is minimal compared to that. All of this can be avoided if wearing proper gear when riding. I look at it this way, either pay at least approximately 700 to 800 dollars for good gear, or pay later with an astronomical price in hospital ride, numerous tests, stay, rehab and drugs to kill the pain for a lifetime. I just wish this state would pass a Helmet law. I have seen way too many people hurt on their scooters when cagers pull out in front of them, or claim "I never saw him/her."
Yep, it is unbelievable the cost of healthcare here in the USA, while other countries have affordable health care. To me, I can blame both the Democrips, and the Rebloodlicans for this mess. I think if Medicare was not privatized, there would be no obamacare, but we can thank our politicians in DC for that PistnRods. Time in next election to vote all Democrips and Rebloodlicans out of office and only vote for independent candidates like Jesse Ventura, if he does run for president, but in the meantime, I think we need to give all Democrips and Rebloodlicans a pink slip with a severance pay of 1 penny per year. LOLSadly to truth for any US rider. His healthcare situation is likely better than ours in the US. In one of M13's vids a visitor he is giving a tour to crashes and has to go to the hospital. 3 day stay, surgery, broken leg, lacerations the lot. He pulls out the bill and it was $1,300. That would easily be over 20,000 here. I couldn't believe it.
Exactly!!!! Dress for the crash, not the ride, in my opinion.Very, very true. Me and my friend both have the same opinion amd you'll never find me squiding on my bike. Especially after what I witnessed. Most simple crashes end up a big f#@!?ing deal if the rider doesn't wear the ride clothing. While the opposite is also true in many cases...huuuge collision, just minor scratches.
I'll take clothing over comfort anyday. And with the right clothin you have both.
